First impression: Lelouch?
When I first saw the picture; I was like zOMG so so LELOUCH LOOK ALIKE!! What? you don’t believe me? I’ve placed their pics together for you to compare although the one on the left is taken from the Manga and the one on the right is taken from the Anime
Maybe this is the latest trend in Japan so that’s why they have similar hairstyle (You know how the fashion works? Korean / Japanese start first; copied by Hong Kong / Taiwan people; mimicked by China people, followed by KL people and lastly, the Mirians and I’m not getting into details on race since I’m not racist)

Second Impression: Otaku Alert
He does not look as hot as in the first picture >.< although they are the same person (You see covers can be quite misleading sometimes).
So, why did I think he looks like an Otaku?
- Messy hairstyle
Probably because he did not have enough time to brush his hair in the morning because he overslept after the Anime Marathon
- Messy clothes
Same reason as above
- Wear spec
Spent too much time infront of the television therefore he got a bad eyesight

Haha, the best way for you to look like the first pic is to print the picture big big in an A4 paper and then use it ask your mask

Ah.. true, anime characters are getting similar looking.
Personality wise affects their hairstyle too (I think I mentioned this before)
I guess that’s because Manga artists are drawing based on the current famous trends or something in real life/Japan.
For instance when lelouch is out, everyone things he is ZOMG SO HOT WOW!! and all the guys followed his hairstyle
And then the mangakas saw the hairstyle of the normal boys so they followed it in their Manga o.o
