Summary:
A young boy gets saved from drowning by a mermaid but according to mermaid law, if a human sees a mermaid’s true form, both are to executed. The only solution to the problem is for him to marry her and become part of the mermaid family.

First impression: The storyline is familiar
When I was hiatus from Anime last year, I missed quite a number of Anime series (Which includes Code Geass which I’m still waiting for the whole anime season to finish before I’ll start watching it). In order to catch up, I read about some Anime plots (including this) but in the end I gave up because there are just tooooooo many Anime for me to watch.
By the way, I don’t mind recommendation of good anime series ^^ Please include a reason why I should watch it too if you’re going to recommend any.

Second Impression: School Mermaid VS The inland Sea Bride
The inland Sea Bride is Seto no Hanayome in English while School Mermaid is another manga series about
A girl found a note book which teaches people how to win their true love by reading some chant near the school’s swimming pool during midnight and kill and eat the mermaid that appears. However, you need to kill the mermaid which has the alphabet of your crush’s first name’s initial.

Third Impression: How would you like to cook a mermaid?
It must be hard on merpeople since they are half human and half fish… eat either one and they will be considered cannibal! However, shark do eat fishes and big fishes eat small fishes and Pirahna eats human o.o;
I guess merpeople survive by eating Sea Weed ^^

Nope, wrong! the school is cursed with mermaids and they are the mermaids (Actually student that chanted the “spell” in order to see the mermaids but can’t eat the mermaid flesh within time period so they turned into mermaid)

You should read the side story arc
The side story arcs are: Onisarashi-hen, Yoigoshi-hen, and Utsutsukowashi-hen
Yoigoshi is the best and they have different artists for arcs except for some repeated ones
