Oricon Poll: Which Manga is the role model for Love?
Oricon conducted a survey on middle school girls to working lady in their 20s about the best manga to refer to for love and Nana came first because it reflects love,experiences and also portraying the romance situation in the modern society between two different women.

Nana… nana is touched
Here’s the result:
01: Nana
On board the train to Tokyo to meet her boyfriend Shoji, Nana Komatsu (”Hachi”) happened to sit beside Nana Osaki who was traveling to Tokyo to fulfill her dreams of becoming a musician. The vocalist for her punk band “Blast”, Nana aims for a major debut for “Blast” in Tokyo where her boyfriend, Ren, is the guitarist for a popular band “Trapnest”. Sharing the same name “Nana”, both girls quickly form a bond of friendship. Their paths cross again when they encounter each other while searching for accomodation in Tokyo. Eventually they decide to live together in the same unit and this further strengthens their bond as the two “Nana(s)” go through their love lives and career.
02: Kimi ni Todoke
Kimi ni Todoke is about a girl named Kuronuma Sawako. She is nicknamed Sadako (from the ring) because many people see her as strange and often mistake her for a ghost. A boy called Kazehaya kun becomes her friend and, to her, is “100% refreshness.”
03: Hana Yori Dango
Makino Tsukushi: a girl who comes from a poor family just wants to get through her 2 last years at Eitoku Gakuen, quietly. But once she makes herself known by standing up for her friend to the F4, the 4 most popular, powerful and rich boys at the school. She gets the red card: F4’s way of a “Declaration of War”. But when she doesnt let herself be beaten by them and is starting to fall for one of the F4; Hanazawa Rui. She starts to see that there is more than meets the eye…
03: Love Com/ Lovely complex
If you’re too lazy to read: A tall girl and a short boyRisa Koizumi has always been taller than most people, and Atsushi Ootani has always been shorter than most boys. Risa, after being caught during one of the school assembles, is punished by attending summer classes. Risa learns that she attends summer class with Ootani. After a cute, tall guy transfers into their summer class, the two of them decide to help each other out in regards to a possible love interest. Ootani helps Risa get close to the new classmate, Suzuki, and Risa helps Ootani get close to one of her close friends Chiharu. It turns out that Suzuki and Chiharu have more in common than vice versa with Ootani and Risa and they decide to give up and let Chiharu and Suzuki become a couple. However, Risa begins to notice that her feelings for Ootani are growing, but Ootani doesn’t seem to notice at. Risa must get Ootani to understand that it’s him she likes, not some other guy, and then figure out if a relationship between a tall girl and a short boy can really be possible.Risa Koizumi, taller than the average girl, and Atsushi Ootani, shorter than the average guy - their constant bickering and comical love-hate relationship is well-known throughout the school. They act similarly and love the same music, and their friendship is full of laughing, shouting at each other, and of course, lots of jokes about one another’s height. But when Risa notices her feelings for Ootani growing, she’s worried. She doesn’t know if he can ever see her as more than a friend. With her friends rooting for her, she struggles to make him see how she feels about him, and that a romantic relationship between a tall girl and a short guy can work. Oblivious Ootani doesn’t make things easy for her, but she stubbornly perseveres in her own unconventional way, determined for her feelings to get through to him, and finally be returned. If only she could do it without driving herself and everyone else crazy in the process…
05: Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai
In a rainy spring day, first year high schooler Midori Saezima saw a tall, handsome fellow student took care of a stray kitten. Without knowing the boy’s name, she fell in love with him at the first sight. Due to sickness, Midori returned to school three days after summer vacation — only to find out that she was “volunteered” as a candidate for student council. After a series of embarrassing accidents, both she and the mysterious boy she had a crush on, Akira Sudo, were elected as members of the student council. Being the first student council of this newly established high school, they are about to create “new traditions” for their school and a bittersweet love story for themselves.
