Stereotyping girls through manga Part 2

Here are some more type of girls stereotyped through Manga dedicated by the readers ^_^. I’ve just read some Fruits Basket chapters because I haven’t read it before (OH noes! 1xx chapters? O.O bah… I will just read the wiki entry) although my alarm tone is Fruits Basket’s song.

Kick Sonoko-chan, kick!

Okay, This is a wrong example… but it’s cute XD~and yes, it worked on her o.o

Tsukushi’s ultra kick!

1. Tougher girl is likable by the bully

By: Ninja Candy

-He is the biggest bully in the class and she is the normal girl (again) who tries her best not to get herself involved in anything but one day… she was targeted by him. Being a weed that remains even when it is raining heavily, she went against him and gave him a flying kick! (Reminds me of Chun Li from Street Fighter) and he was dumb-struck; Love at first sight because she was tough and also because no other girls did that to him before.

2. Girls are extremely naive

-There must be something going on when there is a guy willing to look for you during heavy snow time, okay? If a guy is willing to wait for you for hours during snow just to meet you; something smells fishy, okay? You don’t have to wait until he is dying to realize he has some feelings for you! It gets annoying when the lead girl never notices it >.>

In the name of the moon, I will punish you!

3. Girls have pure hearts.

By: Lavode and Ninja Candy

-The world is going to end soon and nothing can be done except for Usagi to pray hard and sacrifice herself. Oh, the power of the moonlight queen and how much she is willing to sacrifice, the world is saved again. And then, Chibi Chibi revived her back because she is just oh-too-nice. Yeah, right. Girls are human, they can be evil and nice sometimes plus girls that are too naive and pure are usually the dumb one in real life, getting cheated by their boyfriends and never seem to be able to learn the lesson, no?

100 000 yen is roughly 1000 USD

4. Girls are usually from the poorer family

By: me

-How many girls actually dream about getting married into an extremely rich business? Quite a number… or else some female magazines would not list down the Top 50 bachelors in bla bla bla for the girls to drool at and hope to meet in some night clubs. It’s the same in the manga except there isn’t CLEO or Seventeen to list down the hottest guy in the school. In most mangas, the female character is usually poor (Take Tsukushi from Hana Yori Dango as an example) and the lead guy is usually rich (Geez.. Tsukasa is really rich) and every other girls dreamed to be his wife and yet he only has his eyes set on the poor girl.

Number four is a stereotype I see in a lot of manga. It crosses all genres. Number 3 is also pretty prevalent. There’s always one girl in the manga who fits that stereotype. But yeah, number 4 is definately the worst. I’ve seen it in shonen and shoujo manga alike, even where there isn’t much of a romance present.

The one that shy and accidentally bumped on the main guy in the manga? and says sorry and the guy went blushing because she was just too cute. I will see if there will be enough ideas for part 3, lol.
